All those times I held my breath listening for the clues
When I would be on duty , When I would be his muse
Was I a deep sea diver with my lungs so full of air
Or a mermaid submersed in water engulfed in all her hair
For all the times I held my breath I must have stockpiled in the bank
If holding breaths is my forte I have only you to thank
I might have been an opera singer or played a mean trombone
Or held my breath for blowing glass transparent on my own
A feather floating past my mouth whose direction does not waiver
Way down deep what lies beneath are trembling thoughts that quaver
All those breaths I starved of air while sleeping and awake
All the times that I played dead but never did I break
I dub myself the Queen of breaths with words still on my tongue
My very own excalibur with breastplates on my lungs
My breath was saved to shine the light on people just like you
And I will use the last of them mark these words are true
I really like this one, nice rhythm
Love it Sharron xx
